October 25th

This is the last day that the spanish students are going to be in Milford, because this afternoon we return to Spain. I am happy because I will come back to see my family, but I am also a little sad because I won't see more my american family. I have really enjoyed the United States and I hope return as soon as I can.

Ocyober 24th

This morning I went to the school. In the first period all the spanish went to the director's office, there the director wonder us about our stay here and gift us some T-shirts and notebooks. In the last period we went to the pep rally where teachers and students from school played a game that consisted in putting a ball into a porter with brooms. In the afternoon we went to see an american football game in the school, but unfortunately we lost. Finally, in the evening we went to Ashley's house for a bonfire, there we ate and talked with the american students.

October 23th

This morning I went to Boston to do the freedom trail. When we arrived in Boston a woman dressed in clothes of the 18th century showed us some of the most important places of the Independence War in Boston, we also saw the graves of some of the most important revolutionarity. After that we saw the capitol of the city of Boston. Later we went to lunch and when we finished the teachers lead us go shopping. Finally we returned to Boston where the american families were waiting for us.

October 22nd

This morning I only was at school two hours and a half because it was a middle day, this means that classes were of thirty five minutes instead of eighty five. When the school finished some of the american and spanish student went to the outlet, but I couldn't go because there was nobody that could lead, because of that I spent the afternoon playing videogames and watching tv.

Sports in The U.S.A

Here there are other differnt sports than in Spain. Sports like Feld Hockey, American Football, Baseball... are very important in the United States, but soccer and basketball are also important. In Boston, that is the place where we are, there are very important teams in all the sports par example: the New England Patriots in american football, the Red Sox in baseball and the Celtics in basketball. Here also are important the school teams and they don't play only men, because here the women like the sport too much.

October 21st

This morning I went to school as another normal day. But, after the classes All the spanish students and some of the american students went to the bowling zool. There we were for three hours and we played two games in bowling, but we couldn't finish the second game. We also ate pizza and drank soda while we were playing. When we finished playing, we went to the area of recreational and there we were playing games, par example: cars, motorbikes, guns... . We also played a game like paintball but with light instead of paintig. It was very funny.

New York

New York

On Sunday 19th I went to New York. At 6:30 am the spanish students and four teachers ( two spanish teachers and two american teachers) go out to New York. It took more than four hours to reach, but we stopped along the road for breackfast. When we arrived we saw the Rockefeller Center and next we went shopping at the Ffth Avenue and ate. Then they gave us a tour around the city where they showed us the most important sities of the city as the Empire State Building, the area zero, Central Park, Times Square... .At 4:30 pm we went to the hotel to leave our bags, after we go out to dinner and next we went to see the musical Legaly Blonde in Broadway. When the musical finished the teachers left us go shopping around Times Square and finally we returned the hotel overnight.

On Monday 20th we woke up at 7:00 and we went to the Statue of Liberty after breackfast. We left the hotel at 8:00 and we went to take the ferry for the Statue of Liberty. We were in Liberty Island around an hour and a half and it liked me so much. Next we visited by second time china town where we wer shopping gifts. At 1:00 we went to the port for lunch and after we went to see the MOMA that is the museum of modern art, but it didn't liked me so much. At 4 :30 we returned to Milford, and we arrived heare at 9:30, but by the way we stopped for dinner. Finally we went home with our american families.

Halloween party

On saturday 18th we had the Halloween party. This night we went with customes to a party. My custome was of a prisoner. There we went eating, dancing and playing games like billards and videogames of dance. It was very funny and I liked it so much. We were there for three hours and all the people was dancing and playing games with their customes. After the party we returned to our houses because the next day we had to go to New York.

October 17th

This morning I only went the school, but in the afternoon I went to see the Red Sox stadium and one game between the Boston Celtics and the New York knicks. It was so amazing. We had the dinner while we were watching the match. It was the first basketball game that i went to see and I liked it so much, but unfortunately the Boston team lost. After the game we went to buy something to the Celtics store and when we finished we returned to Milford.

TV IN THE U.S.

The United states televevision is very differnt than the spanish tv. Here in the United States there are more than eigth hundred channels. In these channeles you can see everything you want. There are channels of movies, sports, series, hispanic channels... . Most of these channels are free, but there are some that you have to pay if you want to see them. But here people prefer to do sports or extracurricular activities before than watch tv.

October 16th

This day has been a usually day. This morning I went to the school and I was with my american student in all her classes. When the school finished we went to see a soccer game but unfortunately Milford lost. This has been all for today.

NEWPORT

October 15th

This morning we went to Newport. There we saw two mansions of the rich people built between the years 1890 and 1910. That mansions had a lot of roomms, big gardens, many sources and very good see views. When we finished we went to the center of the city for lunch and when we ended we went shopping. At 4:00 pm we returned to milford and we arrived thirty minutes late because the bus driver got lost and had to ask a few times. Finally, at Milford the families led us to our homes.

October 14th

This mornig when I went to the school, The spanish and the english teachers told us the meaning of words and expressions that we usually heard and didn't know its meaning. After that we went to another class and we saw two movies. Then we went to lunch and when we finished we spent the remainder of the morning in the computer room.

Sturbridge village

October 13th

On October 13th I went to visit Sturbridge village a place with old houses and people dressed with clothes from the nineteenth century. I saw farmers, blacksmiths, carpenters, farms, banks, and churches. I also saw how the insides of the houses were in the old times. Finally I saw animals, for example: horses, cows, sheep... .

When I returned I went to Papa Ginos and there I ate pizza and I talked with the americans who were in the spanish honor society, the hosts, and the spanish students.

October 12th

On October 12th I went with Tania's entire family to see an airplane show. After that I returned to her house and I ate a Peruvian meal with the family who had come to visit from Florida. I liked the food and enjoyed time spending time with her family. Then I played card games with Tania and her sister and beat both of them at both card games. Later that night I played monopoly and watched an American Football game.

October 11th

Today I met Alejandro, Paola, Jessica and Shante. They all came to Tania's house. We all played soccer against Tania's dad and uncle. We won. Then we jumped on the trampoline and played some basketball. Later on I went with Tania and some of her friends to eat at Acapulcos (a mexican restaurant), When we finished we went to the house of one of her friends to see a movie and when it ended we returned to Tania's house, the house of my american student. we saw an action movie called The forbiden kingdom and I liked it so much.

BOSTON

October 9th and 10th

On October 9th the spanish students and some of the american students went to Boston to see the science museum and to go on a duck tour. While on the duck tour we saw some of the most important places of Boston. We saw them when we passed by the road and by the river. After that we went to eat at the science museum and when we finished we saw the museum. While we were there we saw very interesting things for example: animal bones, old cars, an electricity show... . Then we went to the planetarium and saw a film. Finally we returned to the school where the american families were waiting for us.

On October 10th the spanish students went in groups to two different middle schools. I went to Middle East. While we were there we talked with the american students and played games. At 11:00 we ate at Dunkin Donuts and after that we returned to Middle East. Finally at 12:30 we returned to Milford High School.

October 8th

This morning when I arrived to the school I saw all the spanish students, then we went in groups to the spanish classes of the Milford high school. There we was speaking with the american students, we played games and we spoke with our friends while the american students were doing their exams. After the three spanish classes we went to eat the lunch and when we finished we returned to another spanish class. This day I don't have been bored because I have spoken with my friends. Tomorrow will be a funny day because the spanish and the american students are going to Boston, and there we are going to see very beuty places.

October 6th and 7th

On October 6th the spanish students went with the american students to the Milford high school. At 7:45 I met the other spanish students in a classroom and then the american students gave us a tour of the school. After that I went with my american student to her classes. At 12:45 we ate lunch and when the school ended we returned to the american's houses.

ON October 7th I went to the school and I was with Tania (my american student) in her classes. She has very different subjects. She has got History,early childhood (education to young kids), chorus/music, french. When the classes ended we returned to their houses.

OCTOBER 4th and 5th

Yesterday a group of 21 students and 2 teachers arrived to Milford. After more than 15 hours traveling we finally arrived to the Milford high school where the american families were waiting for us.
When I met my american family they invited me to dinner to a restaurant called TGIFriday's. When we finished we came to her house and we went to sleep.
This morning when I woke up they prepared me breakfast and after
that we went to the house of another girl for a barbecue. There we ate hamburgers and we saw the others spanish students.
Today I had an amazing day.

New York

Liberty statue

In october 4th I´m going to The United States. There I am going to be with a family that I don´t know. This is a very big chalenge, but I wait that I could overcome it. Also, there I´m going to visit very importat cities as New York, Boston, Newport... . I believe that it will be very funny.
